Here in SF, we really don't get much of a summer until late September...early October, so I am clearly dreaming of fall fashion to wear now! So, I was thrilled when I found some great faux leather booties from Old Navy this weekend. They are a great addition for fall and a nod to my love of western wear (I guess its my Kansas roots showing).
After I found the boots, I immediately began dreaming of outfits to put together for fall. One great store that has an amazing fall collection and just opened a store in SF is Madewell. After reviewing their fall lookbook, I chose a couple of outfits that are inspirational to anyone dreaming of the leaves changing colors. I am most excited to translate the shirtdress/flannel combination from my own wardrobe. Though...maybe adding some tights later for a little extra warmth.

To dress down the boots, I love the idea of pairing them with a pair of skinny jeans, silk blouse (below is a fabulous one from J. Crew) and a fitted blazer. I have been on the lookout for a great blazer, so excited to see if this one works out.
For "back to school" I love the idea of a hip backpack and easy timex watch. Both of those are definite must-haves for anyone heading back to the classroom, or just commuting to work!
