Mission Sunday

For what felt like the first time in a while, R and I stayed in the city for the weekend.  It was great weekend for a trail run, Dolores Park with friends and strolling about the city.

Today, we went over to 24th St. in the Mission to our favorite brunch haunt, St. Francis!  This is an amazing little 50's style ice cream parlor.  We have been regulars there for a few years, and even more so, since I moved about 5 blocks from it.

We enjoyed waffles and breakfast burritos, and then shared an AMAZING chocolate malt.  Since we are usually there for brunch, we don't usually eat ice cream...  But after our trail run yesterday (which went really well for both of us :), we decided to go for it.  The malt was delicious and we drank up every last drop of whipped cream!

After brunch, we took the leisurely route home on 24th St.  This street is full of taquerias, mexican bakeries, bars and cute little boutiques, including one of my favorite, Arkay Workshop!  I am lucky to live only 2 blocks off the street, so I am sure there will be more posts to come on it.

My favorite car in our neighborhood!
